No Good Shepherd
Wins Second Place
My work was judged by "top professionals in the fields of Christian writing and publishing," and took second place! This is a huge encouragement as I work toward publishing my Biblical Fiction Novel, No Good Shepherd.
Contest results were revealed during the Cascade Awards Ceremony on June 24, 2025 during the Cascade Christian Writing Conference.
No Good Shepherd
Stephanie Julia Gibson's Upcoming Biblical Fiction Novel
Lavie witnesses a sky full of angels proclaiming Yeshua is the Messiah. Only problem? No one believes him. However, everyone is quick to blame him, and the other shepherds when King Herod orders the slaughter of all baby boys in Bethlehem. This solidifies what the townspeople already knew: never trust a shepherd. Lavie is crushed and unable to reconcile the glory he witnessed with this horrific tragedy. Through it all, only one friend stands by him: Adara, the daughter of a Pharisee.
